Set in a former bank on the sea front next to the famous St Leonards warrior square. The Bank Hotel is an amazing get away for those looking to just get away from it all and experience all the sea side has to offer. If it is off to the beach with a bucket and spade or being blown across the promenade in the winter, one can enjoy a glass of wine while over looking the sea, explore the historic old town and incredible local restaurants. The Bank is your home away from home.

Check the small print ☺ Good decor and reasonable location. Sea view ☹ Not clear that the room did not have an ensuite. A well appointed but very small room with bathroom across the corridor and across a landing.

Pretty awful but clean ☺ Location across from the sea was good. You can park on street after 6pm. Clean. ☹ Breakfast was strange: Canned tomatoes??? Eggs were fine but staff was grumpy and unfriendly. Bed was up against the wall so hubby had to climb over me to get out of bed. Bathroom/toilet was not connected to room so trips across the hall with key in hand and the need to get partially dressed was required to and fro the facilities... very strange and not mentioned at all in booking details. Smell of roach spray in room and fan was on floor to help circulate air but as it was November, it was drafty at night. Heat on high and couldn't adjust it. Not a great success!

Enjoyable and good value for money. ☺ Great breakfast, friendly helpful staff. Comfortable room.with a lovely sea view. ☹ The window would open slightly and not properly so it was very hot in the room and so we had to have the cooling fan going all night. This was very noisy. Also the room was quite small and the bathroom.was across the hall and not on ensuite.

Pleasant ☺ Location was great. Light & Spacious room. Friendly staff. ☹ Service was incredibly slow for lunch & breakfast. The rolls were hard, eggs overcooked. Things were forgotten so arrived at odd times. Eg breakfast juice was served after we had finished eating. All a bit chaotic. The rooms are a bit tired, extractor fan held on with tape. Windows/frames very dirty. But was ok for one night.
